Chester Selected MASCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. - Senior forward Toya Chester (Leominster, Mass.) was selected the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the week for the week ending November 22^nd. 

Chester earned Most Valuable Player honors at the UMass Boston Women's Basketball Tip-Off for the Rams after averaging 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and two assists in two games at the tournament.  She scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in an 86-63 opening round win over Southern Vermont and followed that up with 12 points and 12 boards in a 48-43 title game triumph over host UMass Boston.
