Chester Selected MASCAC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week


Framingham, Mass. - Senior forward Toya Chester (Leominster, Mass.) was selected the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Women's Basketball Player of the week for the week ending November 22nd

Chester earned Most Valuable Player honors at the UMass Boston Women's Basketball Tip-Off for the Rams after averaging 18.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 steals and two assists in two games at the tournament.  She scored a team-high 25 points and grabbed nine rebounds in an 86-63 opening round win over Southern Vermont and followed that up with 12 points and 12 boards in a 48-43 title game triumph over host UMass Boston.
