Almodovar Selected MASCAC Men’s Basketball Co-Player of the Week

Framingham, Mass. - Senior forward Josue Almodovar (Holyoke, Mass.) was selected the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference (MASCAC) men's basketball Co-Player of the week for the week ending January 24^th. 

Almodovar averaged a double-double, 21.3 points and 12.7 rebounds, in a 3-0 week for the Rams that saw them move into second place in the conference standing.  Almodovar scored 23 points and grabbed nine boards in a 74-67 win over Salem on Tuesday night to go along with 17 points and 14 caroms in a 91-82 win over MCLA on Thurday.  He finished the week off with a 24 point and 15 rebound performance against Westfield State.  He shot 89% (17-19) from the free throw line for the week as well. 

Almodovar is leading the Rams in scoring this season averaging 17.9 points and 9.3 rebounds per game.  He currently has 1,514 career points which place him second all-time on the men's basketball career scoring list.
